Public wildlife land handed to a foreign nuclear corporation. A secret financial deal your county Judge Executive won't discuss. An active Superfund site being marketed to private developers for a data center and a nuclear reactor. And not a single independent study of what any of it means for our water, our land, or our community.
This didn't happen by accident. It happened because nobody was supposed to notice.
We noticed.
On Wednesday, May 27th, we are showing up to the McCracken County Planning Commission meeting to say: not without answers. Not without transparency. Not without the real cost.
This is your Planning Commission. These are your commissioners. They have the authority — tonight — to place a moratorium on further approvals until an independent cumulative environmental and economic assessment is completed. They have the authority to demand that the secret NDA between McCracken County and GLE be disclosed to the public. They have the authority to require that the applicants — not the taxpayers — fund the study that evaluates their own project's impact on our community.
All they need is to hear from you.
Show up. Bring your neighbors. Bring your questions. Bring your voice.
The meeting is open to the public. Public comment is welcome. Your presence matters, not just for what you say, but for what it signals: that this community is watching, and that McCracken County will not be handed over to foreign corporations in secret deals without a fight.
